Group Programme: Unburdened
As a professional, how can you address overwork – without burning out or lowering your standards?
Are you feeling stretched, overloaded, or constantly “on”?
If so, you’re not alone and you’re not failing.
Does this sound familiar to you?:
It’s 9.30 pm, and you’re exhausted, but you won’t go to bed because you haven’t had a minute to yourself all day.
You watch Netflix, perhaps with some snacks and a glass of something, because no one is asking for you at this moment.
You plan to watch just a couple of episodes, but it turns into four or five, and before you know it, it’s late, and now your mind is active.
Against your best judgement, you check your e-mail and there are new messages needing your attention, sent late.
Now you’re irritated.
It’s 1.00 am. You’re not going to get enough sleep again.
Overwork in high-responsibility professions.
This course is designed specifically for Professionals who care about their work, but are struggling with increasing workloads and constant pressure.
Working as a values-based Professional can be both deeply meaningful and relentlessly demanding.
You may:
- Feel a strong sense of purpose and responsibility
- Be driven by high standards, commitment and professionalism
- Work in complex political, legal, institutional, technical or regulatory environments
- Face constant urgency, high workloads and/or tight deadlines
Over time, this can lead to:
- Chronic overwork and mental exhaustion
- Problems with sleeping, winding down, enjoying time off
- Reduced focus, creativity and strategic thinking
- Frustration, disengagement, or quiet burnout
- A sense that your career is “successful on paper” but less productive or unsustainable in reality
This course exists because overwork is not a personal weakness – it’s a systemic challenge that requires new ways of working.
A new and different way of working is possible.
Addressing overwork does NOT have to mean:
- Doing less meaningful work
- Lowering your professional standards
- Caring less about outcomes
- Becoming disengaged or cynical
Instead, this course introduces a sustainable, high-performance approach to work – one that both protects your effectiveness AND your well-being.
You’ll explore:
- What needs to change in your current working life
- How to approach change in a way that makes it manageable
- How to foster leadership in managing your priorities, energy and boundaries
- How to reset your nervous system and build resilience, clarity and inner balance
- How to build a career that remains successful, enjoyable, viable – not just impressive on paper
What you’ll learn in this course:
This 7 week, hands-on course will help you:
- Understand why overwork happens in your role – learning to separate structural pressures from personal habits and stop blaming yourself
- Identify your personal overwork patterns – spot the behaviours, beliefs and expectations that quietly keep you stuck in overdrive and overwhelm
- Apply practical tools to manage workload and energy – use realistic frameworks designed for complex or high-responsibility roles
- Re-empower yourself at work – regain a sense of agency, clarity and control – even in demanding institutional environments
- Protect your long-term success – reduce overload while maintaining engagement, performance and credibility
Who this course is for:
This course is especially relevant if you are:
- A Professional holding responsibility
- Passionate about making a real difference through your work
- High-performing, conscientious and values-driven
- Overburdened, stretched or feeling constantly “behind”
- Concerned about performance sustainability and/or the viability of your career long-term
You do not need to be at breaking point to benefit from this course. It’s primarily for individuals who want to act BEFORE burnout forces them to change.
What makes this course different
Unlike generic content which focuses on increasing individual productivity or avoiding burnout, this course is:
- Context-specific – designed for high-responsibility professionals working in complex and demanding environments
- Non-judgemental – dedicated time, a framework, plus open and supportive space to develop your new working model
- Practical and reflective – hands on, with tools you actually apply
- Career-focused – aligned with long-term professional success
It recognises that you can be committed, ambitious, and human – all at the same time.

A Professional Decision
Overwork rarely resolves itself.
It either becomes normalised, or it becomes unsustainable.
If you recognise yourself in this page, the question is not whether you are capable of continuing.
You are.
The question is whether you want to continue in the same way or not.
